Tolerances & Quality

Quality control
Agree measurable acceptance criteria.
Dimensional and visual expectations should be tied to the applicable product standard, agreed drawings, viewing conditions and approved samples. Undefined phrases such as “perfect glass” do not create a reliable inspection method.
Dimensions & fabrication
Width, height, squareness, thickness, edge finish, hole diameter and position, notches and cut-outs.
Flatness & distortion
Overall bow, local bow, roller wave, edge lift, reflected-image quality and heat-treatment effects.
Surface & visual quality
Scratches, inclusions, bubbles, chips, coating marks, print coverage and inspection conditions.
Colour & optical effects
Coating colour, batch variation, anisotropy, haze, interference and approved project samples.
Typical quality sequence
- 01
Material verification
Identify glass, coatings, interlayers, spacers and sealants.
- 02
Process inspection
Check dimensions, edgework, drilling and process parameters.
- 03
Performance coordination
Arrange required testing, calculations and project documentation.
- 04
Traceable release
Complete final inspection, identification and packing records.
