Glass Specifications

Specification framework
Define the complete glass make-up.
A buildable specification identifies every material and process in the order it will be manufactured. Dimensions alone are not enough: the application, performance, safety, appearance and destination standard all affect feasibility.
Information to include
Glass build-up
Substrate, nominal thickness, heat treatment, laminated plies, interlayer, cavity, spacer and gas fill.
Processing
Finished size, edgework, holes, notches, cut-outs, printing, coating surface, orientation and shape.
Project criteria
Application, design loads, safety function, thermal and optical targets, standards, quantity and delivery.
Typical production references
These are typical capability references found in the Chinese architectural-glass supply market, not automatic production guarantees. Final limits depend on make-up, geometry, fabrication, coating and available equipment.
