Glass Processing
A practical overview of cutting, edgework, heat treatment, lamination, insulating, printing, coating and bending.

03
Production sequence
Fix fabrication details before production.
Cutting, edgework, holes, notches and cut-outs must be completed before heat treatment. Downstream processes must then be coordinated around glass type, coating, dimensions and required appearance.
- 01
Technical review
Confirm drawings, make-up, tolerances, process compatibility and production sequence.
- 02
Primary fabrication
Cut, grind, polish, drill, notch, wash and inspect the individual glass panes.
- 03
Heat treatment
Temper or heat-strengthen the glass where required before assembly processes.
- 04
Assembly
Laminate, insulate, print, bend or combine the processed panes as specified.
- 05
Final control
Inspect dimensions, appearance, identification, documentation and packing.
