No. Cutting, drilling, notching and edgework must be completed before heat treatment. Attempting to machine fully tempered glass afterwards can cause breakage. Review the fabrication drawing before releasing tempered glass for production.

Tempered glass provides increased strength and breaks into relatively small particles. Laminated glass bonds two or more panes with an interlayer that can retain fragments after breakage. The coating surface depends on whether the coating is hard-coat or soft-coat, the insulating-glass build-up and the required thermal and solar performance.
